I have to say Greg's baptism is one of the biggest surprises that our family has had in a while. It's hard to express the feelings that we feel right now. It's difficult to convey the joy we feel to others without one having some type of background information on our nephew. However, we don't feel that we can publically display his personal information to the world. :) Just sufficeth to say, Greg formally lived a life far outside of the realms of Christian behavior and he grew up in a family with profound disfunction. To see this transformation in his life is a true joy! My husband never thought that anyone in his family would ever consider joining the Church and has always been reluctant to even share his feelings about it with them. It goes to show you that we are very short-sighted, because the Lord works his miracles in many ways. It's such a beautiful thing! Never, ever, ever judge another!
We got a phone call from Frank's brother (Ray) the night before the big day and he was telling us that Greg was to be baptised the following afternoon. Like I said, that was a huge surprise! We didn't even know he was taking the missionary discussions, let alone making the decision to be baptized. Wow!!! He told us, too, that MY brother would be the one baptising him!!! What!!! How in the world did we not know about all of these things????
Actually, my brother wasn't asked until the day before. Greg asked the missionaries if they knew any Del Priore's (knowing that was my maiden name) and they told him yes! They told him there was a Del Priore in his ward (amazing, right?) and he would introduce them. Of course, my brother was excited to learn of these things too. He found out that Greg was Frank's nephew and was delighted to be a part of this great day!!! My sister-in-law gave one of the talks for him. I really wish we could have been there. They've also been spending time with him lately so that he feels comfortable.

Yes, when I went down the other week to go to the temple. Rocco and Angel told me and I was like, WHAT?!?! My response was "like Eddie and Greg? That Greg?" I couldn't believe it. Its so wonderful. I love it. Who knows maybe it will start a chain reaction in the family.
I'm sure that you and Frankie's example had a big role play in all of this. Y'all were the only people in his upbringing that had a stable life.
that is AMAZING!
Hate we missed it. We were visiting Lizzy.
