After Gabriel's football game, we rushed back to the house to get the turkey cooked. 
My husband fries the best turkeys, so he usually does them for friends as well.
Well, Kris Alexander was on the list to have a turkey. Ummm...let's just say that he does not follow directions very well. Last year, he soaked his turkey in a sugar brine, which caused the skin to carmalize. The inside was delicious, but the outside was black. LOL!
This year he brought over a turkey that had our rub on it, but it weighed over 20 pounds!!! We had told him the maximum weight was 16. Well, Frank had to stuff the turkey into the pot...it was touching the sides, and barely fit!
(Kris is explaining his mistake to his wife! LOL!)
My husband is convinced that Kris is "a big dumby!" (inside joke). Thankfully, his turkey turned out fine in the end. Hopefully, next year he will listen to our directions carefully! ;)
Kela was excited, and stayed out with her Daddy to make sure ours was perfect.
We all were ready to eat, since it was so late in the day.
Everyone dug in!!!
The fact that my kitchen looks so messy means that we ate well. ;)
Noah loved that he got to spend time with Opa, since this will be his last trip here. He is 80 now and decided that he can't travel anymore.

I've only had fried turkey once but it was really yummy!
Frankie's plate looks like Preston's did. Preston isn't big on veggies and this year he had some turkey, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Food wise, I think Frankie and Preston have similar tastes!
Kris its not your fault. Its just a "guy" thing. They never listen.
Anyways, yalls dinner looked way better than ours. We just ate at Golden Coral. But you know what we didn't have any mess to clean up
