Manriquez Vist

Our friends from California came to visit again (the Manriquez family). We always enjoy when they swing in. However, we hate that on this visit, we didn't get to spend much time with them because of our schedules, but it was still great regardless. =) First, we watched the National Championship game on TV...

WooHoo!!! Texas vs Alabama What a nail biter!

Then the next night the Manriquez took us out to eat to the Geisha House (hibachi). It was yummity yum yum!!! And, lots of fun!!!

The following day we went to the park and taught their family how to play BOCCE.
We expected to show them how it was done, since we were more experienced.

All I can say is Carla and Jason caught on pretty quickly. They didn't have a hard time learning.
Therefore, we had a steep competition!!!! While we were intensely competing for bragging rights... The boys played around. They even had a little game of ladderball going on too. And, the kids were having a ball making piles of leaves and jumping into them. Soooooo FUN! But...when it was all said and done...
We came out losers!!! Carla and Jason beat us! I'd like to chalk it up to beginner's luck!
However...
...when Brandon and Gabriel played them, they lost to them too!!!!!! =) LOL

During this beat down, I took the kids to the playground.

They had so much fun playing with each other that they didn't want to leave when it was time to go.

All and all it was a really great day. I even got some pictures with my kids...I always love that:
