No Strike Grappling Tournament

Frankie and Brandon decided to enter another MMA (mixed martial arts) no strike grappling tournament. Frankie lost 12 pounds for it, but Brandon decided that he would go in and fight with his own weight, and not worry about it.

Kendall came to show support for Frankie, and to help take pictures...
...while Carly came to be supportive of Brandon.

The first match that we watched was of Noah's friend, Sage. He is an athlete! (His mom is Noah's karate instructor. She is a five time world champ, and his dad fights too. The dad also works with Frank driving limos.) This is Vito (the dad) and Frank watching Sage win the championship. =) Yay! Go Sage!!!
Frankie sat on the mat to cheer Brandon on...

Brandon was really nervous before stepping onto the mat, because all the fights that he watched before him were pretty crazy.
However, he gave this boy a run.

They ended up being neck and neck the whole time. Unfortunately, Brandon lost 2-0.

His opponent was the best fighter of the evening, though. He placed 2nd. However, he should've won 1st. He was winning 7-0, but got disqualified for a throw...which he didn't do...the other guy actually let go of him and dropped on his own. This boy man handled everyone else, and told Brandon that he was his hardest match by far. Too bad Brandon wasn't on the other side of the bracket...gah...He may have actually met him in the finals and placed 2nd himself...but since it was single elimination, he was knocked out the first round. That's how it goes... luck of the draw...

Nanny and Papa were glad they drove all the way from SC to watch......and of course his dad is always proud of his boys!

...and, oh look...Carly still likes him even though he lost! ;)

Frankie and I had to give him our love too. =)

Afterward, we had a long break before Frankie's division, so we decided to head out and get something to eat. We chose Raising Canes.

Ahhh...yummy!!!!

Next...we wrestled around in the hallways of the Texas Station Casino (location of event).

Brandon took on Carly...
...and I took on Frankie!

LOL!!!! Hahahaha....this picture is hilarious of Frankie! Doesn't he look a little fruity???? He about tackled me to erase this...hahaha...but look who won out!

Okay, finally!!!! After many hours of waiting, it was time for Frankie's match.

Hmmmm...it looks like they size up pretty well...

...and it looks like Frankie may do something here...

However, he gets stuck in a triangle, and tapped. You know, this is the SAME move that he lost to in the last tournament. Hmmmm....

We didn't stick around to see how this guy ended up doing overall. We were ready to leave. Plus, we had to get Gabriel to his football banquet. The tournament was fun, though (They always are), and my boys make me so proud!!!
