Okay, so last night the YW tracked me down and presented me with a plate of goodies. They used the YW values as a sounding board. They picked out 7 women in the ward to "spotlight" who represented each value. I was chosen for "knowledge."
The girls were so sweet. Apparently, they came by my house, but I wasn't home. They were informed that I was out with the RS (we were doing new sister visits and then had a presidency meeting afterwards). They showed up over at our secretary's house. We were sipping hot chocolate since we had been out in the cold. When they knocked on the door, I opened it and found a group of girls there with a plate of chocolate and cookies. I said, "How did y'all know it was my birthday?" ;) ;) LOL. They answered in shock, "It is?!" Hmmm...Okay, maybe that's not why they came. They proceeded to tell me why they had arrived. They recited me their theme and then gave me hugs. Awww! So SWEET!
I don't know why they chose me for "knowledge," but let me just say that it is one thing that I truly believe in. When we leave this earth, the only thing we can take with us is our intelligence and acquired knowledge. I try very hard to fill my mind with worthy things and I know that as we do that we become better people. I feel so honored.
