Shooting Range
My husband LOVES guns. He has an arsenal of weapons. Unfortunately, he left them all in SC. With the 2nd amendment rights soon to be violated by Obama, my husband has decided to go buy more while he can. This week he purchased a Glock 23 .40 calibur handgun. He took me shooting last night so that I could become comfortable with it. Let's just say, no intruders better come in my house. I went through most of the 50 rounds that we shot, and every single one of my bullets were in the chest. I did take a little time concentrating on my aim, instead of just firing at will, but we are going to go back and practice that later. My husband will be taking the boys later to let them shoot as well. You know, as Ted Nugent says...shoot as much as you can so that you feel comfortable and it's instinct. You need to know how the gun feels and reacts. That's our family goal. Of course, the boys are naturals and love shooting. I, however, feel a little nervous having that much power in my hands. It's CRAZY!!! My husband is determined that I learn, though. Consequently, we'll be back at the range again. Watch out...here come Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

You're so funny.
I wouldn't have thought you were that good of an aim. Watch out now
Your husband and mine would get along pretty well. Aaron just bought a super small hand gun, I think it's called a rueger, or something and he wants me to get comfortable with that. We should go shooting together. Wego out to the dry lake beds so we don't have to pay :)
Shooting is so much fun! As long as one is careful and responsible, it can be the perfect activity or outing. My dad was in law enforcement so I grew up feeling comfortable with guns. The people who don't like them are people who have never taken the time to learn about them.
So glad you guys had fun!
P.S. To answer your question, Red Robin is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is terrific, and it's a great family place. My kids LOVE it (it's a real treat for them to go there).
Sorry but I can't say that I'm comfortable with guns. Its mostly the crazy people that go around killing others that scares me. There was a story on the news a few days ago about a robber who broke into a house and ended up killing the owners with their own gun that he found while looting the place. I'm just not keen on them. But it sounds like its a great bonding activity for your family.
Home at the range!
Guns make me pretty uncomfortable, too. That's b/c I've never been around them. Scott has said that if he kept one in his car, he'd be doing time now for his road rage.
Years ago when we were managing apts we had a downstairs neighbor who said he had a shotgun. Probably some other guns, too. And that guy had a lotta rage. So every now & then I'd get nervous when I could hear him yelling (from below). I didn't want to be on the news. Or have to call 911.
At least your family is being responsible about guns!
Trent wants us to get a gun. It makes me a little nervous, just like you, to have one of those in my hands. Although I do like to shoot them! :)
No you did not just quote Ted Nugent!
I won a competition once for shooting clay pigeons!
