Kela and Perthes
Kela has been limping the last couple of weeks. We took her to the doctor to get x-rays and it turns out that she has Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (LCPD). Virtually, her ball in her hip is deteriorating. Her Ped said to lay off of it and don't put weight on the leg. This would give her time to heal. However, after she saw a Specialist, he recommended to go on as normal so that her joints don't get stiff with arthritis. He said they could eventually do hip replacement surgery down the road, if needed...until he heard about her breathing condition (severe trachea malatia). Then he realized that surgery could be dangerous. Who knows what's going to happen. My poor little Kela. She is limping all over the place.

I have no doubts Kela will manage just fine. She is always suckering someone into carrying her...it was usually me!
I hope that she gets to feeling better!
Oh no! Kela is strong willed and will get through all this just fine. Hang in there mom! You'll all be in our prayers.
Poor Kela. I hope that everything works out for itself. I know how she feel though. I keep telling Preston that when all this is over, my right leg will be more toned and bigger then my left.
I am so sorry about Kela! Poor little woman! I hope they figure something out for her soon!
Poor Kela =( I was so heart broken when I heard about this. Hopefully everything will work out for the best
oh, little sweetie pie! I just want to give her a hug.
Oh how I love Kela! Hopefully everything will work out!
I'm sad to hear that. I miss Kela walking around our building on Sundays and saying hey to me!
