Dry Ice Fun

I went to a recipe exchange group last night with the theme being "Halloween." One of the ladies made a brew that had dried ice in it. She had leftover ice and asked if anyone wanted to take it home. Of course, I knew the kids would love it so I grabbed some. I came home and put it in some lemonade.

I was shocked to find out, however, that my kids had never seen it before. How have I sheltered my kids from that??? But... what was even more shocking...my husband had never seen dried ice. At least not the chunk of ice. He's seen the effects, but not the ice itself. I was astounded! So, thanks to Erin, we got a great science lesson last night.

Still in disbelief...

That's great that your kids liked it so much! The looks on their faces are priceless! I put some of it in a pitcher of punch last night and my kids thought watching it was cool, but they wouldn't drink the punch!

How fun is that?! I have always wanted to do something with dry ice for our trunk or treat activity at church.
