My hubby left late last night to fly to SC with four of his Vegas buddies (Alexander, Baker, Perkins, Pickup). Their itinerary is to go golfing today, go to Charleston tomorrow, attend the USC/GA game on Saturday, grill out Sunday, and return. The most important part of the trip is to go to the big football game. They have been planning this for MONTHS!!! Frankie has had them pumped up about going to see the great SEC, which they haven't experienced. They're used to stadiums, of like 30,000, filled with unenthused fans. They are in for a treat because Gamecocks and Bulldogs are some pretty fierce fanatics. They're going to be amongst 83,000+ fans, not to mention all day tailgating and sports talk, with an enthusiasm that spikes like no other! I'm sure they're going to have a blast, no matter the outcome of the game. It's going to be an awakening of the energy that is felt in SEC football.
They all left wearing USC jerseys. However, after the long flight and arriving, my baby went to the bathroom. When he came out, he said all the fellas had on GA t-shirts! My baby about died! They were all antagonizing him. They had preordered them and had them shipped for the joke. I asked, "Are they going to wear those to the game?" Response: "I don't know. But if they do, I hope they get jumped by some crazy redneck!" He definitely got "punked." Right now they are savoring some good '0le Waffle House, one of many restaurants they have on their list to eat at.
Go Gamecocks! We're ready for an upset!!!

That is so great they are on a "boys weekend". The real question is what you women are going to do while they are gone? PARTY!
I hate that we'll miss them since they'll be so close! We're skipping this game but will be watching it with some Bulldog fans (who seem to be EVERYWHERE here in Georgia). We have our Gamecock flag flying out in the front of our house and have taught Merritt to sing the Fight Song! We're ready!

LOL! His friends really got him! I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because all Little Frankie talked about on the ride home from Charlotte was Waffle House. Hope they have a great time!
Sounds like a "mancation"! Scott had one last month. The t-shirt switcheroo was pretty ingenious. Those guys are gonna have a blast at the game. I went with Scott to the USC/GA game 2 years ago. Sitting in the student section was quite the experience. GO GAMECOCKS!

HAHAHA!! So funny. I know how he feels because Preston and his whole family are big Dawg fans so I always feel like I'm in enemy territory when I watch a game with them. Hope they have tons of fun.
