Father's Blessings

Last night we all gathered around to get our Father's Blessings for the upcoming school year. Noah was very excited and insisted that we start with him. He exclaimed, "youngest goes first!!!" Therefore, he began and then we ended with me. It was a very personal and spiritual experience for us. It was another testament to the reality that Heavenly Father knows us individually and blesses us according to our circumstances. Our children received words and acknowledgements specifically to them and I couldn't help but cry at the revelation being poured out from heaven. I wish I would have recorded it so that the kids could keep it and look back on it for help during the year. It was tremendously special. I can't help but have a heart of gratitude for having a worthy priesthood holder in our home to be able to perform such blessings. I felt an overwhelming since of love and inspiration that was given from God through my husband. It was beautiful and sacred and I am a better person because of it.

Best of luck to your children on their first day of school and to you too! I am so impressed that you decided to get your degree in the midst of all your other responsibilities. You will do great!

blessings before school were always such a special time for me too! It's wonderful to be able to grow up with a father that is worthy of giving blessings and then to have a husband that can bless your children. I love it.
