Okay, I'm going to try to explain something without going into great detail, for the sake of sacred privacy:
You know how when someone is drunk they tend to reveal their true thoughts? They speak their mind freely without reserve of consequences? Well, I believe that when someone is half asleep (literally HALF-ASLEEP) groggy and half-unconscious that reality of thoughts surface as well.
I had this experience with my husband last night. Because of his weekend at work and lack of sleep, he decided to pop some Ambien (2 or 3, I think) to help knock himself out. He wanted to make sure that he did not awaken during the night. He wanted to sleep calmly with no interuption. Well, because of this, I found myself having some pretty interesting conversations with him. As a matter of fact, they lasted over an hour and a half. Without details, I learned how much my husband really loves me and how completely concerned he is about my happiness. He totally shocked me with this concern! In his EXTREME groggy state (in and out of consciousness), he gave a glimpse into his psyche and revealed massive affection towards me. I can't express how special he made me feel in his half-unconscious state. It's so hard to articulate this event. I sense an inadequancy in my words, and yet I still wanted to try to express it because of the impact it had on me.
I have always known my husband loves me. He tells me and shows me DAILY, throughout. I never doubt this. He's quite good at showing me. However, last night was unique. It was almost as if it were a complete revelation, coming from another source--like a mystical discovery enveloped by profound truth. It was truly an awakening to the depths of our relationship. I know that our love will be enduring and last through the eternities.
Furthermore, I believe my kids need to always know that. (And, of course, this journal is really for them. It is a recorded gift of our lives to pass on.) They need to know how deeply in love their parents are for each other. They need to know that we are one and we are united. What more can I say?

I love how in love you and your husband are! I also think it is very important to let your children know how in love you are with your spouse! I always want my own children to know and see that I love my hubby! I think it is important for them to see us hug, kiss and flirt with each other! :) Even if they think it is gross!
You two have always been a great couple. We have always looked up to your relationship since we met you 10 years ago. I know your children can see your total devotion and love for each other.
Scott takes Ambien a few times a week, & I believe it's a truth serum. Not that he lies to me or anything like that. It's just HILARIOUS to see him when the drug starts to hit. Even my girls have seen him walk around all goofy-like. We've had some interesting conversations as a result. None of which he could recall the next day.
I just have one song for you....
hey, what the heck you want me to say
i won't lie
that i can't deny
{chorus}
i did it all for the nookie, come on
the nookie, come on
so you can take the cookie and stick it up your(yea)-3x
i did it all for the nookie, come on
the nookie, come on
so you can take the cookie and stick it up your (yea)-3x
...so how was the nookie? Like a chump yeah like a chump yeah

Are you referring to his "Limp Bizkit?!"
LOL
Doesn't Lizzy sound a lot like ME?! She stole all my "Zingers" We all know she's not that good! You're welcome, Frankie! ;-)
Like, I said...I think he was fakin' so he could get some. He's like oh yeah, Honey, you're amazing! What would I do without you? Sooooo can I get some? he he he!
Frankie, you know you're color blind....You might have thought you took an Ambien, but obviously it was your stash of Viagra!!!
Always, check the labels!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Y'all see what I'm dealing with??? My family is a bunch of crack heads!! If you ever wonder why I'm insane, now you know.
For the record, my baby is 100% The Man!! He doesn't need to pop pills for me.
Mary & Lizzy, y'all need to go scour and bathe bc y'all have been in the gutter WAY too long! Yep, I'm smelling the stinch now...
Do you really think I will cast my pearls before swine? ;0)
All I got to say is I'm loving being up on my pedastal, don't get jealous and try to knock me off...
Super hugs and kisses go to the both of you!!!
Whatever, you know you were pimpin' your husband out for our reading pleasure!!!
Don't be frontin'! I didn't say he needed the Viagra. I just said he's blind...
And Lizzy, I think Marina is calling us pigs. What?! Not our family... ;-)
Enjoy, your pedastal! I have my own too, because you know Jim MUST love me to put up with me!! He must be crazy or really in love himself... How'd we get so lucky?
Love ya!
Yes, Mary, I do everything for your and Lizzy's pleasure. ;0)
And about Jim, I'd venture to go with crazy...that's why he fits in. Who's getting locked up first?
YOU're the first one to go to the looney bin, because you're older. You're quickly on your path to "Mama-Ville." :-)
Jim can't get locked up because then who would clean our house...? LOL!
As Kela would say, "This is true. This is SO true."
I swear, Ambien is crazy stuff. I took it once and was up all night hallucinating, throwing up and acting crazy. I don't remember a single bit of it, but Ty told me the next day that it freaked him out and I was NEVER allowed to take it again! Glad to hear Frank's experience with it was a little more ... pleasant.
You guys are too cute! Like I've said before, you are like newlyweds. It's so awesome!
So many women are jealous of you now! (Even though they don't know what you've told us.) Thank you for sharing. I think I'll slip my hubby some ambien to see what he says about me... ;o)
I take that back. My husband could sleep all through the night and til noon the next day if I let him, so I'm sure a sleeping pill would knock him out so cold that I wouldn't hear a peep from him for 2 whole days!
