Our friends, the Manriquez's, came in for a visit this weekend. We have not seen them in seven years (way too long). We were stationed at Shaw AFB together. We were soooo happy they came.
They arrived bearing gifts... 
Marina got a beautiful plaque. (Yes, I have the perfect spot for it.) 
Frank, however, wasn't too sure about his gift. What the heck is this? An ORANGE Fresno t-shirt? Oh, wait! I know. It's for washing the car with. Yep...

The ladies and kids headed for the base pool.
104 degrees! Hot! Hot! Hot! I even got in the pool. That says a lot because I usually never get in.

Noah only got to jump off of the diving board twice before the lifeguards said he couldn't do it with floaties. He was quite upset. Consequently, this motivated him to try to learn to swim. He asked if I would teach him. I took him and did my best and when he started to sink, he looked at me sooo serious and proclaimed, "Mom, you're not a good teacher." That cracked me up! I looked back at him and said, "No. You're just not a good student." We both got a good laugh.

Noah and Gillian were inseparable! They spent every waking moment together.

They spent every waking moment together.Later in the afternoon, Frankie and Brandon came home from work and joined the fun. They wooped up on the old men (Dad and Jason). They beat them in Ultimate Stratego (the Wolfepack's favorite board game) and bowling. There was even some arm wrestling thrown in the mix. Not pretty...I don't want to embarrass Jason so I won't mention the results. ;P

my kids are such chickens. i would give almost anything to get them off the steps...which btw is the only place they go IF they get in! cute pictures! noah's growing up so fast!
Enjoyed seeing all the pictures! My lord, Gabriel looks like he's grown a few inches since I've seen him, and Noah is filling out too, I miss them terribly! Marina, looks like you have a sunburn! I know it will turn brown though, happy to see all of you having such a good time! I hope Frankie is careful with the ambien. I've always known how much my son loves you, you act surprised! Actually, I wasn't burnt at all. My face was red from heat only. I'm telling you it was scorching! That's the only reason I got in the water.
I miss Noah! That orange tee was pretty cruel. And the high dive freaks me out! Brave boys...
