Brandon Gets Asked to Sadies

6 January 2010 Carly came over to decorate Brandon's room while he was out playing basketball. Her intentions were to ask him to their school's Sadies dance in a creative way (here in Vegas that is the tradition). The ladies try to come up with something clever, and then if the guy says yes....the girls buy matching outfits to wear with them on the occasion. It's quite the event!
Carly wrote a poem:

Starlight, Starbright
First star you see tonight
I wish you may
I wish you might
Go with me to Sadies Night.
Then she hung stars and streamers all over his ceiling, blew up balloons to put on his bed and floor, put her poem out, and wrote on his mirror.
Then she and her friend played the waiting game. Brandon stayed out a lot later than usual, so the anticipation became nerve racking for Carly. ;) They hung out upstairs in the loft, so Brandon wouldn't know they were there.
Finally, when Brandon got home, he wouldn't go to his room. I kept trying to coax him in there, but it was taking quite awhile!!! I started to take pictures of him, and he thought I was crazy. However, I just explained that I was trying out my new camera's settings. LOL! He wasn't even suspicious of me. Then I told him demandingly, "Hurry and go take a shower! You need to go to bed!" He looked at me all weird-like. HAHAHAHA!!!

Of course I followed him into his room!

Awww...he looks tickled!!!!

Carly came up from behind him and surprised him with her presence. He was so happy!

Hmmmm....I'll take that as a YES!

Brandon thanked the friend for helping. =)

Then he cracked up as he realized what I had been doing the whole time. Yes, moms are sneaky too. ;)

LOL! I told Carly when she was decorating that Brandon would probably love the stars and leave them up, but would rip down the streamers. Uh......Mamas know best. That's exactly what he did!
