Brandon Blessing Sacrament/ Frankie's Seminary Graduation

Brandon was ordained to be a priest last Sunday so his first duty was to bless the sacrament yesterday. Okay, hold up two hands...Let's count together... 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8. That's right, EIGHT! It took Brandon EIGHT times to get it right! After the second time, Noah started snickering while sitting on my lap. Of course, being the good mother that I am, I shushed him. Three thru six times, I shushed him. However, he kept snickering time after time. By the seventh and eighth time, Noah had me giggling too. (It's very hard to keep composed when someone around you is laughing.) I guess you can say I gave into peer pressure...Not so good of a mother, huh?

You know, I am so glad my children don't get embarrased easily. (Dad says we humiliate them all the time so they're used to it.) By the time Brandon got it right, he looked up at us and held up eight fingers and just smiled REALLY BIG. He took it like a sport. He wasn't red in the face or anything. I am very proud of him for getting through it with a smile on his face.

Also, yesterday, Frankie had his Seminary Graduation. Yes, four long years of getting up at 5:00-5:30 (depending on what season it was). It was a great accomplishment! However, he knows that it was just the beginning of greater things. He is preparing for his mission now.

Me and my baby.

(I enjoyed being his teacher 2 of those 4 years.)

Frankie's bishop, Bishop Hinrichsen. (The absolute BEST bishop!)Frankie's seminary teacher, Bro. LeCates, who Frankie says is really cool.

Frankie's band members: Frankie (guitar), Stephan (vocals), Wes (drummer). They're looking for a bass guitarist.

I'm glad that Brandon finally made it through. It's hard to believe that Frankie is about to go on his mission.

Hahaha...I think I would have started laughing too, especially after the 6th time. I mean come on.

We love you Brandon. Even when you goof up.

Congrats Frankie! I think you might be the first to actually graduate seminary. Nobody else was determined enough to go all year and memorize all scriptures. Well, maybe Rocco and Mary did considering Pop taught so they didn't have to leave their house. Lucky ducks.

Yeah, I graduated from Pop's pitty vote. However, I did have to go 2 years on my own & 2 years were at the house. I definitely did NOT get perfect attendance.

OK, so Brandon...LOL! I would have been laughing and my kids would have been, "Where is my bread!" :-) We love you and good job for laughing at yourself! Our family definitely knows how to laugh out ourselves. We don't have a choice, mine as well laugh with everyone else...

Love y'all & miss y'all!

Is Frankie ready for his graduation?

I love how confident your boys are. Good for Brandon not letting that first experience get him down! We miss him in primary!

Looks like your kids are growing up quickly...you look much too young to have a boy leaving on a mission soon.

That's awesome that it took Brandon eight times.:) I will have to tell Aaron to give him a hard time. :) Just kidding. You have some pretty neat kids. Actually, a pretty neat family! And congrats to Frankie for graduating seminary!
